The Birth of the Customer Event

Our customer event began in 2019 with a heartwarming Easter Afternoon Tea at Staines Congregational Church. It was a day filled with joy and laughter, featuring a spectacular spread of teatime treats and the delightful sounds of Staines Preparatory School’s young singers. Our customers and their guests had a fantastic time playing Bingo, with some lucky winners taking home some fabulous prizes. We were thrilled to welcome our customers, their loved ones and members from Surrey Social Services and the Staines Job Centre for a truly memorable afternoon.

A Decade of Providing Care

In 2022, we celebrated a major milestone, Acacia Homecare’s 10th anniversary. We hosted at Stanwell Village Hall coupled with delicious dishes specially catered for us by Dramatize Tea Room. Finished off with a surprise Bollywood dance performance by Gita (Ops Manager) and her dance partner (Georgia Cornwell), it was lovely to see our customers dancing along in their seats, in fact, they still talk about it to this day. We had invited a special guest where our customers and staff were able to meet the Mayoress (Susan Doran J.) and also invited members from the Spelthorne Surrey Council.

A Royal Celebration

Our 2023 event was a royal affair, themed around the King’s Coronation in a vibrant street party theme. Held at Stanwell Village Hall, the day was packed with engaging activities including a fun-filled version of the Generation Game, where everyone showcased their drawing and bread-plaiting skills.  Kudos to our finalists, Mr. I and Mr. C, and a huge congratulations to our winner, Mrs. W!  Guests enjoyed dancing to our fabulous live singer ,Kate Sings, making it a day to remember.

2024 Customer Event

2024 Customer event was held at Sunbury Cricket Club. It was nothing short of spectacular and we were thrilled to welcome back Kate Sings, who performed based on customers demands, getting everyone to tap their feet and sing along. We also played Bingo, had a selfie stand to capture the fun moments and a special highlight was the 100th birthday celebration of one of our cherished customers, Mr E, this which made this event truly unforgettable. Not forgetting the delicious food prepared by Surplus To Supper, catering for all our dietary needs and ensuring that the teas/coffees were flowing.
