      Frequently Asked Questions

Are the carers trained and vetted?

Acacia Homecare trains all staff in-house and ensures that they undergo a thorough vetting process during recruitment, including a full DBS check.

What does the care provider do when things get tough?

Look, care isn't easy; things will go wrong. If any care company says otherwise, they're lying. But what we can promise you is that if it does, we'll be there with you to make sure you and your family are supported and all issues are resolved.

Who came up with the name Acacia Homecare?

It was Minal, our brilliant director, who chose the name "Acacia Homecare". Acacia is a tree found in warm climates such as Australia and Africa.  It is deep rooted and has long overlaying branches which creates shelter and protection to anything underneath them. This epitomizes what our organisation values and beliefs are with the tree representing Acacia Homecare and the customers sitting underneath being looked after by our entire team

      Who built our branding?

Along with Sanj and Minal, our amazing directors, it was Christian Cook, a published author, filmmaker, artist, and branding expert.

Why should you never see a box around the logo?

When we were setting up, our vision represented never 'boxing anyone in' or constraining whatever they wanted to do.

Why is the colour palette based around red?

We wanted to get away from the ‘clinical’ feel that other providers went with and have a warmer, more welcoming touch.

Why do we have polo shirts in as the uniform?

Again, it was to get away from the clinical look and to brand our carers as their own thing.

Why is the sun on the left of the logo?

After deliberating over about 20 different placements for the logo, we wanted to ensure that the sun did not feel like it was setting, nor like it was in the midday sun—more like late morning, to be exact! We wanted our customers to feel that it wasn't the end, and that there were still things to be done in their lives with our help.

Why is our organizational structure different to other care companies?

This is due to other care companies following a model that originated from care companies attempting to move out of the local authority space. The organizational structure there was based on making processes reliant on individuals. Sanj and Minal changed this to ensure that, where possible, the business was not reliant on individuals but on systems and processes.

Has our company video been on TV?

Yes! On 27/6/23, it aired on Sky channel 182 on Discovering Britain!

Here is a link to the full video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu0KA71i_IE&t=2s

In the Acacia video, Minal wants to run a marathon?  Has Minal actually ever run one?

Not officially, but on the day of the shoot, she pretty much did it.

Are we different for the sake of being different?

No, we have spent years developing this model to make sure that we can employ staff and care for our customers better than everyone else.

      What makes us the best?

Our people, our model & our drive to do things right.
